Rob Marris MP's bill to legalise assisted suicide will be debated on Friday September 11th, as soon as Parliament reassembles. We only have until July 21st, when Parliament breaks for the summer, to urge MPs to be there and vote against this very dangerous bill. We can do this easily via http://notoassistedsuicide.org.uk/ More information at http://www.carenotkilling.org.uk.
It might be good to remind MPs that those endangered by such a bill – the disabled, ill, or very elderly – are the least likely to have the energy to lobby them on the issue. The high-profile, firm-minded successful people who want to destroy the law are not those who need its protection. And they admit this is the thin end of the wedge, preparing to open the way to much wider death-dealing.
