The Daily Mail reports that a baby, Lexie Slater-Folksman, was born prematurely at 23 weeks, defying the current 24 week limit for abortions. Although initially she was put on a ventilator, six months after her birth, she weighs a healthy 8lb. 24th Sep 2008 A mother was jailed for life today after drowning her 4 year-old daughter. She was embarrased that her daughter had cerebral palsy and after failing to convince her husband to allow her to be adopted, she chose to end her daughter’s life. Although the cerebral palsy was only mild – her daughter walked with the aid of leg braces...

My son, Will, was born in 1998 at 22 weeks 3 days. I understand that he is Britain’s earliest surviving baby. Will wasn't treated for a long time because of his gestation. I held him in the delivery suite for 7 hours with no intervention as we waited for him to die. The hospital took him down to the Special Care Baby Unit at 7 hours old....
