BMA Motion on Assisted Suicide

The Pro Life Alliance welcomes the BMA's decision, today at its AGM, to remain opposed to assisted suicide and euthanasia.  Doctors rejected calls from the pressure group ‘Healthcare Professionals for Assisted Dying’ (HPAD) to become neutral on end of life issues.  They voted against both parts of the motion proposed by Professor Raymond Tallis: "That this Meeting:-

i) believes that assisted dying is a matter for society and not for the medical profession;

ii) believes that the BMA should adopt a neutral position on change in the law on assisted dying.

This is a victory for common sense. Patients have to trust their doctors, so it is extremely frightening when even a small minority are in favour of deliberately killing us.
