Welcome Abortion Restrictions in US House of Representatives

As the UK rapidly approaches the 50th Anniversary of the passage of the Abortion Act (1967), the House of Representatives in the US has just voted in favour of restrictive abortion legislation which would outlaw most abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy.

Sadly it is judged unlikely in Washington that this vote will be successful or take the pro-life battle much further ahead, but it certainly sends a message in stark contrast to the agenda promoted by the pro-abortion lobby in the UK. Here the pro-choice lobby, significantly including some complicit medical bodies, are hoping in this year of the 50th Anniversary of the UK Abortion Act to have abortion classed as just a minor medical procedure – despite the fact it ends a human life.
